Took many hours to achieve this. Because of the size was unable to copy, so had to photograph, therefore the quality is not as good as it should be. I think it gives a fair idea of the portrait though.
I have always been interested in art in any form, but having raised 3 kids plus working never really did anything with it until around 4 years ago when I retired and started to do decorative painting with a great teacher. Not only have I learned to paint this technique but other mediums with the encouragement from this lovely lady.
Field trip to Montsalvat was a great way to improve my en plein air painting and also gave an opportunity to increase my ref photos. A very enjoyable day.
